Sorry, I didn’t haven’t checked the forums for a while and did not see your query. I was heading east, but have since reached Saint Augustine. Now I’m heading north up the ACA Atlantic Coast route.

Gear Talk / Re: Neo-Retro / Tour Canti Combo

I set up a bike with the Paul Touring Canti rear and Neo Retro front, controlled by Campy brifters. I found the rear brake a little weak for my tastes and was much happier after replacing it with another Neo Retro. On a 56cm CoMotion Nor'Wester tour with a Tubus Cargo rack I had no problems with the wider profile of the rear Neo Retro.

Routes / Northern Tier - bike shops in Bangor or Bar Harbor

I am planning an East-to-West Northern Tier ride, beginning in late May. I want to ship my bicycle and some gear to the starting point. Can anyone recommend (or caution against) bike shops in Bangor or Bar Harbor that could receive and assemble my bike for me?
