General Discussion / Re: Best Tips for Cooking on the Road
« on: January 27, 2022, 03:51:01 am »
Great tips. I usually make meals in advance if I know we're going on some road trip. It's usually something light like sandwiches because we're having lunch in a cafeteria. If we are going on a picnic in the park or the woods, I try to make more nutritious meals so my family feel full because only the good taste of food can satiate them. I usually look at recipes on the website because I can prepare food faster and find something new that I have never tried before. I like to crave baked goods or something in the oven most of the time. My favorite dish is apple pie, as corny as it sounds.

Gear Talk / Re: A couple of clothing questions and comments

I also recently became interested in cycling. I agree with those who believe that a raincoat is not the most necessary piece of equipment. I prefer a good windbreaker and a warm sweater to wear after the rain. Regarding ponchos for cyclists, I have an interesting story. My friend uses Muslim women's clothing in order not to burn and get wet during the rain. I also ordered a waterproof hijab on https://www.amanis.co.uk/. And it really works. Nothing protects you from the rain like completely covering your entire body .

General Discussion / Re: Best pre-ride supplement?
« on: November 10, 2021, 09:48:13 am »
Eating before a workout isn't the best idea. Several studies are proving that and it's good you're not doing it either. In the beginning, I used to drink coffee before starting my ride. They say it's the best natural performance booster you can have. And it was, for a while. Gradually, my body was getting used to it, and I had to upgrade it. Lately, I started buying different supplements from rats army, as a friend was always praising them. I admit they did increase my endurance, and I'm planning to keep trying their stuff. They still have some formulas that need to be tested, but the research looks very promising.
