General Discussion / Re: Best Tips for Cooking on the Road
« on: March 21, 2024, 03:37:47 pm »
I've recently started following a diet in the hope of losing weight and leading a healthy lifestyle. Is anyone else like me here? What do you cook when on the road?

General Discussion / Re: Average Weight Loss/Gain on Cross Country Tour
« on: December 20, 2023, 08:30:45 am »
Losing weight during a long-distance hike is a common experience due to the high-calorie burn and limited resupply options. In contrast, cross-country riders may have different dietary requirements and access to more diverse food options, potentially resulting in weight maintenance or gain. Each journey differs, and personal factors play a role, though.

General Discussion / Re: US dogs

I had two dogs and I'm sure that the dog's behavior depends on how it was trained. This is the owner's responsibility.
When we understood that we didn't succeed in training, we addressed a professional. It was easy to find a trainer at https://petsylife.com/ in our area. I should say, that our dogs needed fewer lessons than we expected.

Gear Talk / Re: roll up solar panel

Solar panels are not efficient
I can't agree with you. I have a thin-film rv solar panel that I use for various purposes (RVing, boating, camping, etc.). It is designed to flex and adjust to any surface and it works great. Moreover, it is very convenient that you can take it everywhere and it takes less place.

Oh yeah .... with fall having arrived ....
here is another of my fav.s ...
fallen leaves from time to time crunching under the tires.
Also, hearing the squirrels scampering about those fallen leaves,
as they are accumulating their food stores for the coming winter.
Oh, I also like the sound of the fallen leaves crunching under the tires! Moreover, everything is beautiful around. I'm looking forward to this time of the year :)

Hi! How is your business going? I'm thinking about starting a business, so it would be great to learn from other people's experiences. Any advice or helpful tips?

What did you end up doing? I'm in the same boat. My older son is too big for a bobby cart, and I'm thinking about buying one of those ride-on cars for 2 seaters.

Sorry for bumping. Just curious if you still use those cameras and how many people switched to their phones.
If you still use a camera, which one?

Gear Talk / Re: Sandals for colder climate?
« on: September 20, 2023, 08:32:50 am »
I had such an experience once. We decided to go cycling with camping for a weekend. When we got up in the morning it was much colder than we expected, so I had to ride wearing sandals with wool socks. I can't say it was the most comfortable ride, but it was fine. And we were lucky not to have rain that day. Later, I looked through the dhgate reviews here and ordered an additional pair of clipless shoes, just in case.
