I like the combination of both. Camping for couple of days and then a day or two in a nice hotel

I wold say around $50 per day if that's a solo trip. With the family and especially kids, amount goes up dramatically.
In that case i prefer to check  smartertravel reviews here and go for a planned trip and booked accommodations.
Of course that kind of holidays has nothing to do with the cycling trip only and enjoying the nature and wildness.

Hope they are good

We stayed in Marriott couple of times, no complaints. The room for two of us was around 60square meters, which is one of the largest one i've been so far. The room service came 25 minutes after we ordered our dinner and the food was extremely good. Of course some people are not happy with their services and then they write those reviews - https://marriott-international.pissedconsumer.com/review.html. My experience was completely different though.

International / Re: Cycling Tips for India

The application process is actually very easy and takes couple of days only. Check if you need and evisa here - https://visa-to-india.com/ and if you do - prepare a recent picture and your travel passport. You also need to answer couple of questions, like what are the last countries you visited and so on. Nothing complicated. Unfortunately can't give you any cycling tips, as i never took my bike to the country. From what i've seen, doens't look like they have a good infrastructure for that.

Urban Cycling / Re: cyclist friendly hotel near JFK ?

Hilton Honors is usually very bike friendly.
If you check those negative Hilton Honors reviews https://hilton-honors.pissedconsumer.com/review.html, you will not find any of them from the cyclists. The good thing about this hotel - you can find it everywhere in the world, even in the most remote destinations. I don't think that you even need to mention your bike when doing a reservation, cause for them it is pretty normal.

General Discussion / Re: Need help in finding the best folding E-bike

Did you find the perfect bike for your purposes? If possible, buy from a reputable local store who know their bikes. Buy a recognized and established brand. Test ride as many electric bikes as you can. Honestly assess the type of riding you will be doing day to day (i.e. what's important to you?).  I found my perfect off-road ebike accidentally by checking some reviews online. Went for a little ride and understood it is definitely my thing. Enjoying it for almost two years now.

Special exercise bike is always a good idea. The huge plus here - you can train from home, no matter what is the weather outside and can stay in a great shape also in winter. This blog https://bikecyclingreviews.com/best-exercise-bikes-to-lose-weight/ has tons of useful information about different exercise bikes which help people to lose weight. I am sure you will find everything what you need to know about those bikes and will be able to make the right choice.
