i lock my bike EVERYTIME i leave it for even a second. dang right i'm possessive about my bike. if it got stolen i would die. simple as that.

i'd go with the thorn. but think about springing for a rohloff-equipped one. i have a rohloff on one of my bikes and wish it was on all of them. expensive but worth it.

along this ine does anyone know if homeowners insurance covers bikes? i mean if they got stolen whilst locked up somewhere, could you make a claim. or would homeowners cover only if the bikes were stolen from the house itself?

i've lived in some good ones--colorado, california, and massachusetts. i like vermont and new hampshire as well.

any place is pretty good if there's routes with good scenery and light traffic. as long as you're on your bike!

i'm kinda new to tourin' (i ride a lot of gearfree miles). i have a new IF club racer i want to ride in new hampshire from north conway up into canada and back. i'll probably do it in june or july.

northern thailand may be in the offing as well.

u-lock justice. (jus' kiddin'!!). though i did put a dent in a guy's rear quarter panel when he actually made contact with me and when i chased him down at a stoplight and said to him, "hey buddy, share the road" and he replied, "shut the f*ck up."

usually i just pay 'em no mind.
