Why is it so difficult to find front racks?

Does anyone have any helpful info on where to get relatively cheap front racks to hold panniers?  It seems like all I can ever find is a rear rack :(

Where are you looking?  Just about anywhere that sells panniers has them.  Bike Nashbar, Performance Bike, and REI come to mind.  Then there are the specialty touring stores like www.thetouringstore.com

Here's a link to a site that reviews 24 front racks, starting as low as $19. It's 3 years old, but I'd guess most of these are still on the market.

The page for rear racks is very mildly NSFW. The front rack page is completely safe.

Thanks!  I would love to buy from Adventure...but not exactly cheap and I'm not exactly rich!  I'm doing this trip to raise money for a non-profit and I don't have the funds to get the nicest stuff out there unfortunately
