Whats the best decently priced cooking stove for touring?

I agree that we need to know more to really say.  I like my home made pop can stoves for most touring for one or two.

If I want a canister stove the Pocket Rocket is a great stove.  It worked great for three of us on the TA when we could find fuel.  That said I have found it hard to find fuel for it in many locales, some of which were places you would think it wouldn't be a problem.  Oh and MSR has a new one that sounds even better, the Micro Rocket.

There are a number of simple, cheap alcohol stoves you can build, or buy.
Do an internet search for terms like alcohol stove, backpacking stove, or diy stoves.  Probably the simplest, cheapest, easiest, and most well known is the Supercat stove.  It's notheing more than a cat food can with holes strategiclly punched in it.
