No ride reports???
« on: January 16, 2012, 09:46:55 pm »
I am surprised there is no "ride report" section to this forum.  Over at ADVrider, a motorcycle forum, it is the best and busiest zone.  Maybe I'm just missing it, but it seems like that would add some interest to this forum in general.  Who doesn't love to live vicariously through others adventures?!  Any thoughts?  Mods?

Woohoo!  Another Advrider fan!  I guess you know about the bike subforums down in the bowels?

Agreed that it sets the standard but Crazyguy will grow on you once you get comfortable with the navigation.  Bikeforums also has a touring subforum. http://www.bikeforums.net/forumdisplay.php/47-Touring

I agree that a Ride Report thread would be a great addition to this forum. Doesn't need to be hyper compartmentalized by route/distance/etc, just there for others to read and get stoked on. Especially in winter  :)

Wow, I'd never heard of this. And the bigger surprise was to see that it is sponsored by Adventure Cycling!

We promoted both of these sites when they were launched on the Adventure Cycling blog and the Bike Bits e-newsletter. There are also links on the Adventure Cycling website homepage to both resources on the right hand side. In the future I'll try to post new items like these in the forums as well.
