Student Bicycle Survey! -- Please help!
« on: April 11, 2012, 05:38:15 pm »
 Hello!

I'm a student at the University of Wisconsin-Madison conducting a survey on bicycle brands.  If you have 5-10 minutes, I'd be grateful for your help!

Thank you!!

I took the survey. But honestly, isn't this marketing research for Trek?

Agreed. So many Trek specific questions towards the end.
Also find it interesting how "touring bike" is not listed as a "bike type" option, yet you are posting this on a touring bike oriented forum.

I started to do the survey, but found it very difficult to answer the questions for the reasons already stated. -  There is no mention of "touring bike" - and as this is the last bike I purchased, none of the boxes fit.

Waste of time, folks, do not click on the link unless you are a fan of this one particular brand or you really want to participate in deliberately biased silliness disguised as research.

You do state it's about "brands" but it is clear from your "survey" structure you have no use for information about bicycling or bicyclists. Your professor owes you an apology for allowing you to pursue this effort without helping you craft something less insulting. Data is useless if it's biased.

I've reported the post as inappropriate because we're not rats in a maze although I am often amazed.
I play go. I use Macintosh. Of course I ride a recumbent
