Great Divide to Santa Fe and Albuquerque?

I'd like to pit stop in both of these New Mexico cities on my trip up the Great Divide route. I can't help but notice that U.S. Bike Route 75 passes through them, but the Great Divide doesn't. Does anyone have advice on either 1) how to connect to USBR 75 in New Mexico or 2) how to cut over to Santa Fe or Albuquerque on the way up? Thanks!
