Anyone have a suggestion of a secure place to leave a car for a week in Burlington VT?  I'm going to be doing the Green Mtns Loop in early Sept and I am trying to figure out the details.

thanks

If you are planning to spend a night, consider the South Burlington Best Western I have used them to start bike tours. They let us leave cars in the back parking lot. A decent restaurant is on the premises. Book early, as the first part of September is student arrival time at the area colleges.

Another good option is to ask the police. Call ahead, then check in with them on arrival, describe your car and find where you can leave it for them to include on their patrols. Burlington and South Burlington are two cities side by side. Parking is much tighter in Burlington, especially when the students are here. I'd go first to the South Burlington PD.

Call UVM. For a small fee, we parked in one of its garages when we did ACA's organized GML tour.  However, that was not prime school season, so that option might not be available during your time frame.
