Why?  Do you want to get them or avoid them?

"Why?"

Match tires with rims.

A 'match" for you might be different from my idea of "match". Some people like to use a tire tool to remove and others can use just their hands, which I do. Unless the tire is crazy tight, then I avoid that model in the first place. And too easy to get on is also not great for my cyclocross bike while running pressures around 40psi.

So, all tires fit all rims of the proper size, obviously, it's just that some brands are tighter or looser. So when you say "match the tires with the rims", that's kind of open- ended. Do you want painfully tight tire mounting that requires tools to even mount, let alone remove? Or do you want really easy mounting and removal? What's a "match" in your mind? They all match according to the manufacturers.

I personally use Schwalbe Marathon Supremes and they fit just snug enough but I can remove and install without a tire lever (using the right technique). This is on DT TK540 rims. They might be very different on another brand of rim.

"So, all tires fit all rims of the proper size." Not true, "fit" meaning hook in and stay. Examples:

Still interested in which touring tires fit tightest.

Cyclocross and lower pressures, of course there can be issues from brand to brand. A 700c tire on a  700c rim will fit and if properly inflated, should be acceptable, Manufacturers would be sued left and right if they did not. From rim to rim one tire will be tight, the same tire, different rim, not tight. You still never said what rim you want the "tighest" tire for.

I've raced and ridden for over 30 years and over 250,000 miles. Never once had a tight or loose tire come off. Only difference was in trying to mount or remove them.

Schwalbe and forget it.

+1.  Using modern "hook bead' rims I've never had any tire come off no matter if it was a super tight initial fit or went on with only hand pressure.  Looking to buy the "tightest fit" tires is only going to make flat repairs more difficult, not provide any more security.

Not true. I am not going to search for more examples for you to argue, but I have experienced as others have posted online tires that not fit.

If you can answer my question better than "Schwalbe and forget it", thanks; if not, I'm not going round and round with you.

No one said looking for tightest tires to buy. I would like to know which tires fit tightest. There is a difference.

As yet, arguing the question, but no answers.

As replied to another, I have experienced as others have posted online tires that not fit. 700c tires on 700c rims. Touring tire on touring rim. Modern hook rim.

I am not interested in arguing your experience. Your experience, vast as it might be, is minute, I'm sure, compared to all other bicyclists.

If you or others on list can provide answers to question, thanks; if not, then, for me, it was tried here, go on to other venues.

I recently discovered that Specialized All-weather Armadillo are substantially tighter fitting than any other 700c tire I have tried in similar width. Had to give up when trying to mount them on some narrow, somewhat tight Matrix rims. I could get them on but what a PITA, no way I wanted to be changing a tube by the side of the road in the rain with this combination. The Armadillos are now on my Salsa rims and are still snug but not nearly as difficult to mount.
Those who say it can't be done should stand aside for those who are doing it

Uh, yeah, your tone says argue all over it. Excellent advice given on the subject from other far more expereinced cyclists than you but you want to argue instead.  Good day.

OK gents, let's cool it. Comments about the topic are welcome. Comments about the people are not.

You're right Fred. This shouldn’t be a place for arguing or assuming one is inexperienced based on their comments.  Thanks.
