Northern Tier + North Lakes (SS Badger Ferry)

From today's Lansing State Journal, the future of the Badger is in doubt.  Without the ferry, tt would make getting from Ludington, MI to Mantiwoc, WI a bit longer ride.

I believe there is an alternative Ferry that leaves Milwaukee and heads over to MI.

I have not taken the Badger, but I do recommend the route through the UP and across the Mackinac Strait. A ride around Mackinac Island is fun and the top of Lake Michigan is very nice.

LAKE EXPRESS...... route is Milwaukee to Muskegon ~ 2 1/2 hrs
