Grat Divide accessibility

Hey all, I was looking through a lot of the other posts but didn't see anything about this topic. Sorry in advance for the newbie question!

As far as I understand it, the Great Divide has a mountain biking route and a cycling route. Will any road/touring bike be acceptable on the cycling routes through the Great Divide?

Hi,
I have biked the Great Divide myself and I believe there is no normal cycling route. The Great Divide is approx 80% gravel and 20% pavement. Using a touring bike should be doable, but not a racing bike with skinny tires.
