Bicycle alarm innovation
« on: February 06, 2013, 09:58:52 am »
Me and my team of fellow cyclists are taking bicycle protection against thieves to a new level and right now we are developing a new product – bicycle alarm combined with a cable (chain) and rear lights.

We have a great team of engineers with experience in electronics, mechanics and manufacturing. Our team has some great ideas, but we believe that the best products can only be created together with other cyclists.

It would be great if you could share your experience dealing with bike thieves and I am sure that you have some suggestions on how to make this product better.

You can answer here or check our web page –, where you can see design sketches, blog and send your ideas directly to us.

Also follow us on twitter and facebook. We will post updates and answer questions there.

Looking forward to hearing your thoughts!

I could noit tell what the locking mechanism is. I prefer a combination lock.  I don't neede another key to carry around! Also. the cable part should be at least 3 feet long.  If not, it won't fit around many things, like small trees.  The cable I have now is 5 feet long and is very handy for trees, telephone poles, etc.

Good idea and good luck!
May the wind be at your back!

Bicycle alarm on IndieGoGo (Kickstarter)
« Reply #2 on: February 27, 2013, 04:40:48 am »
Hey guys!

A while ago we wrote here about bicycle alarm which we are developing and some of you really helped by giving suggestions on how to improve it.

Right now we have developed a prototype and are ready to start production, but since tooling and minimum order quantity costs are really high we need your help one last time, for this product to become reality.

To get funding we chose to start crowdfunding campaign at IndieGoGo (similar to Kickstarter) and this is where you can help us. For us to get funded we must reach our funding goal. Please check out our campaign at Absolutely any amount you can spare will be greatly appreciated. Liking and sharing this information will be of great help also. If we don’t reach our funding goal in 45 days, all backers will automatically get full refund from IndieGoGo.

We really appreciate your support.

Best regards,
Kristians Licis
