Atlantic Coast Route close to Moorestown New Jersey
« on: April 10, 2013, 09:10:06 am »
Hi!

I am ordering maps in a few days, if I can't find used ones. Until then, I have a pressing question. Some friends want to know if I'll go through Moorestown, NJ, or at least be close to there. They need to know now. Can anyone tell me if the Atlantic Coast route is close to, or goes through Moorestown, NJ.

Thank you,
Jasmine

The Atlantic Coast route doesn't use much of New Jersey, and what it does use is in the northwestern part. The closest this route comes to Moorestown is about 25-30 miles west in Conshohocken or Plymouth Meeting or Ambler, PA.

Moorestown is about 12-15 miles east of Philadelphia across the river and the Atlantic Coast route does not go through there. The route leaves New Jersey farther north, and comes into the Philadelphia area from the northeast. You could take the Philadelphia Spur to get to downtown and that is the closest the route comes to Moorestown.

If you ride into Philly, you can take the PATCO rail line to Haddonfield, which gets you even closer. Bikes allowed on 24/7. Send me a PM if you want details.
