Cue Sheet for navigating Ride with GPS routes

This is an Android phone app for navigating routes created with Ride with GPS route planner.

I downloaded the app with the ProPack version of CueSheet onto my Droid Razr Maxx and tried it out on a 28 mile urban ride. I had some issues with the map I had made in RWGPS but other than that it worked great. I put one ear-bud on and slipped the phone in my jersey pocket. I had turned off wi-fi and 4G LTE with the battery at 90%. 2 1/2 hours later the battery was down to 70% so about 10-12% per hour on the battery in that mode. I didn't even look at the map layout, just used the voice directions.

For my upcoming TransAm I have transcribed the ACA GPS routes into RWGPS manually. I did this because it was easier for me and mentally I have a picture of the route. Also I wanted an east-west routing and the ACA is west-east. And I don't need all the waypoints or POI. It didn't take much time to do that initially but now I have to go back through and make sure I have the queue points I want.

I think it is the best solution I have found so far.

Do you mind sharing your RWG TransAm route? I believe Greg was trying to map the same route, east to west, and struggling slightly. He can probably use your route as a baseline and edit it as needed for his needs.

I don't mind but I don't think it will work for him. I used "Follow Road" which generates a lot of points. I know RouteConverter has a facility to reduce the number of points. I believe I heard BaseCamp does too.

I did use the premium version of Cue Sheet testing at home and from Newsport News to Yorktown.  I did not use it after that as there was no really great need for assisted navigation for me. It worked very well with both my Droid Razr Maxx and Nexus Tablet. I rode with one ear bud and the devices were in my handlebar bar.

That said you really need to validate the cue sheets in RWGPS manually because when drawing a route you can cause wrong turns and unexpected U-Turns to correct things. This mainly happens at intersections where you need to click well past the intersection and on the right side of the road.
