North of Afton, MN, Stagecoach Trail (CR21) will be completely closed at the bridge, just south of Valley Creek Trail, during the reconstruction of the Valley Creek Bridge, from Monday, June 17 through Labor Day, September 3, 2013.

Detour:

After crossing I-94 turn left onto Hudson Road
Turn right onto St. Croix Trail
In Afton rejoin route by continuing straight on St. Croix Trail (CR21)

In Afton continue straight on St. Croix Trail
Before I-94 turn left onto Hudson Road
Turn right onto Stagecoach Trail (CR21) and rejoin route

St. Croix Trail north of Afton has a narrow shoulder, but there are multiple roundabouts.  There is a MUP (Afton to Lakeland Trail) on the eastside of St Croix Trail.
