CR V in Haugen closed crossing US53.  New interchange is being built at CR V and US53.  As of today (6/19/2013) it was still possible to walk across US53.
A possible detour could be south using 26 1/4 Ave/26th Ave between CR V  and 23rd St.

This has been going on for the past year. I recommend stopping in at Hill's Village Grocery in Haugen, which is just before the closure (if eastbound). Jim Hill, who has been running this store for over 32 years, can give you the latest tips on how to get through the construction. Jim is well familiar with this route and is cyclist friendly, and has a log book you can sign. Everybody stops here anyway as it's the only place you've seen in a long time.
