Charlottesville VA housing
« on: August 13, 2013, 05:36:25 pm »
I'm a long-time cyclist with an extra bedroom, bath and laundry, living within a half-mile of the cross-country 76 route in Charlottesville VA. House is within easy walk of all-kinds of restaurants and most stores (except big box). Besides non-smoking, I'd expect guests to be friendly, clean and put the sheets and towels in the washer when they leave.

Since my wife has issues with strangers, I have to do this around her frequent travel schedule. She will be out of town from Aug. 22 thru 28.

I might be able to help someone with bike trouble within few minutes of Charlottesville.

That's a great offer. There aren't any good camping options in Charlottesville, and it's a natural next stop after Mineral on the TransAm, so housing offers are greatly appreciated. If you haven't already done so, I would encourage you to register with www.warmshowers.org as many cyclists look there to find places to stay. It's easy to turn availability on and off to suit your needs.
