Touring the Canadian Maritimes in 2014
« on: November 07, 2013, 09:59:19 am »
Hi all,

I'm planning on doing some short tours in the Canadian Maritimes in 2014, beginning middle-of-June I'd imagine, though I've got a bunch of them planned, some of these include: The Acadian Coastal Route, the Annapolis Valley Trail, and possibly some tours in Prince Edward Island too.

Is anyone planning on coming to the Maritimes in 2014? Would anyone like to meet up? Perhaps tour for a few days?

I know that this message may belong in the "Canada" section of the Forum, but having looked there, the last activity was in 2012, and I figured that posting it here would enable me to receive greater feedback.

Cheers,

Jack.

Greetings from Scotland,

My wife & I are exceptionally fond of Prince Edward Island, we holiday there every two years. I would love to do some cycling on the island.
That trip and the rest of your plans sound awesome, even if I haven't seen some of the places that you mention. I just know that it will be great. However, my BIG tour that I'm dreaming of at the moment is to cycle across the states. The Northern Tier......, maybe even get to dip my toe in Canada. All things going according to plan I hope to do that next year. Sorry I can't join you , but good luck.

Hi there!

Greetings from an Englishman! :)

Prince Edward Island is a pretty beautiful place. I've only ever driven around it, and I may not even make it to PEI come summer's end. But, I guess we'll just have to see what time and money allows for.

I'm definitely planning on doing the Acadian Coastal Route - a 295KM trek up the East Coast of NB, from Aulac to Dalhousie. And the Miramichi River Route, from Miramichi to Fredericton - the Provincial Capital.

I'm also hoping to go into Nova Scotia. Either do the Cabot Trail, or the Annapolis Valley Trail.

Thanks for the greeting and advice,

Jack.
