Anyone else bored in the office today? I wrote this blog up a while ago on the places I wanted to cycle before I die. I thought it would be of interest to an adventure cycling association!

Any riders got some other suggestions?

At 70, I try to keep my expectations lower, but I do have some particular places that move me which will highlight my bike tour this coming season.  The bad-ass Badlands of South Dakota, the Continental Divides in the Tetons, the Cascades, and the Pacific Coast Highway from Monterey to Moro Bay.  Then next year, I am looking at the Grand Canyon rim and Monument Valley among others.  ...There is so much that I haven't seen in the USA.  The more I ride, the more I don't feel the need to go outside our borders.  This is one, big, beautiful country.

Fantastic question for all of us who ride to live a fuller life. How many items are any of us willing to go for?  I am 63 now, have been riding since I was 18 I have turned the cranks for more than 85K miles now.  My top three on the LIST: 1) Here in the USA on road bikes - Ride from Montana/Canada border to Corpus Christi, TX; 2) Do a circuit tour in either NH, VT or Maine for 7-10days in the fall; 3) Ride from Astoria, OR to Crescent City, CA in late summer.
On MTN Bikes 1) Colorado Continental Divide Nat'l Scenic Trail >400 miles

Thanks for the invite, but I did Maine last year.  It's beautiful and gorgeous and you should have a great time.

I live in Vermont so I can cross that one off. Last summer I did Vermont/Canada border to Brooklyn.

This summer is Vancouver to Mexican Border, or some abbreviation due to my nieces wedding in the middle of the summer in NYC.

Next summer - big dreams - Orient Express - Paris to Istanbul.

I've go the bike trip bug bad!
