Traveling the Divide from north to south, would appreciate any info for shuttle or one-way car rentals between two sections: Steamboat Springs, CO back to Rawlins, WY; and Platoro, CO back to Steamboat Springs, CO.  Thanks!

I did the GDMBR in 2011.  What I would suggest is getting in touch with one of the bike stores in Steamboat Springs (Orange Peel?) to see if they would know anyone who would drop you off in Rawlins and pick you up in Platoro.  If your vehicle would be in Steamboat Springs, perhaps you can have them drive it for the transfers....

Alternatively, you could choose two "gateways" to the GDMBR that are a bit more commercial - like Banff/Missoula or whatever in Montana.

Sorry I can't be of more help.  Platoro is only marked on the map because there is even less around it.

Avis offers one way rentals between Steamboat Grand Resort Hotel in SS to the airport in Casper. Maybe you could leave you car in Casper and ride to Rawlins. Google Maps shows about 120 miles.
