Change Data Display on Garmin Edge Touring Plus

I can't figure out how to change data displayed on Garmin Edge Touring Plus. Specifically, I want to display heart rate.
Help appreciated.

I don't have a Garmin Edge Touring Plus to try, but according to the owners manual it looks like you can customize the timer page to show heart rate:

1. From the home screen, select the wrench/screwdriver icon, followed by Trip Pages and then Timer.
2. Use the + or - buttons to change the number of data fields on the page.
3. Select the check mark.
4. Select a data field to change the data type that appears in the field. This is where you would select Heart Rate.
5. Select the check mark.

I found this on page 5 of the owners manual under Customizing the Trip Pages.
