Washington DC to Pittsburgh shuttle
« on: May 10, 2014, 01:02:43 pm »
This is my first foray into this forum. I hope someone can help. Does anyone have any suggestions about finding someone to shuttle four people and bicycles from Washington DC to Pittsburgh? Or shuttle cars in the other direction? Sorry if this is the wrong place to post. I couldn't find a button to post "new topic"

From the official GAP web site:

http://www.atatrail.org/pv/shuttleservices.cfm

There are several service providers that provide shuttle service for people and bikes between D.C. and PGH.

Or you could take the train as there is checked baggage service in D.C. and PGH.

This may be a bit late but just having finished the trail it might help others.  The Cumberland Trail Center bicycle shop provided transport of bikes and gear to Pittsburgh for two of us and will pick up and drop off wherever you want.   They were on time and efficient, waiting for us to arrive at the B&B in Cumberland before the expected time. http://www.ctcbikes.com/
