UPDATE:

Just a few weeks away from my trip and finished the route and Waypoints. All looks well except when I place my Waypoints on my Garmin SD card it does not recognize it in the device. However when put the Waypoint files in the GPX folder the device will read it no problem. I guess I was under the impression that it would read from the SD card this way I can conserve the devices memory. I have a total of 1407 waypoints.

This is surprising. Do you have the GPX file on the SD card under /garmin/gpx folder? It should work. Otherwise, send me a copy of the file.

My mistake... I do have it in the Garmin/GPX folder on the device but not on the 16gb SD card. I was under the impression that It would read from the 16gb SD card. I have it inside the GPX folder and it's showing my waypoints with proximity alarms that I setup.
