I'm in Cutbank today. If I go North so I can do Glacier I'll likely not make Banff by July 1st.  Need to think it over tonight.

Thanks for the heads up. Using the wifi at  McDonalds right now.

Seems a shame to be so close and not at least ride into Many Glacier. See some sights and then continue north to Banff. You are east of Glacier and southeast of Banff. Glacier is more or less on the way. There is a border crossing on the east side of Glacier Park.

My plan is to go around the south side of Glacier. I'll stay at Apgar for 2 nights. During the layover day I'll wake up really early and take a non loaded right east on Going to the Sun. I'll burn time somewhere till the 4pm curfew is over for bikes on the road down by the lake.

I've also been looking forward to going to the town East Glacier because in the mid 2000s I ate at a little food joint called Whistle Stop a couple of times. I hope they are still around making good puffy "french toast".

South side is also easier on my legs that can currently only do 25-40 miles comfortably. More campgrounds.

 8) A good plan. I'm envious. Wish I were there. This is a very good year to be in Glacier early.
Have fun!
