Green Mountains Loop, Maps 8 & 9 - 2014-2015
« on: September 02, 2014, 01:45:43 pm »
There is road construction along SR 107 between Stockbridge and Bethel, making the road very rough and causing delays. Estimated construction completion is July 2015.  For updates, see http://roadworkupdates.com/?page_id=1856

To avoid this construction, take the main route and not the White River Alternate.

December update on roadworks site (included below) mentions majority of work has been completed.

Can anyone comment on road conditions in that area currently and offer a recommendation on whether this route is suitable for cycling?

Thanks,

Project Update:  The road work on Route 107/Route 100 is complete.   The contractor has completed the majority of the work this year even though the contract completion date is July 2015.

Crews will return in the spring of 2015 to complete minor project punch list items and work on painting parking stalls and install lighting at the Park & Ride at Route 107/100.  The Park & Ride will remain closed through the winter.

A notice will be issued prior to crews starting work in the spring.
