I feel much more confident riding 3 wheels than 2.  No matter what you ride you have to be cognitive of your surroundings. Trikes are a great platform for touring and just enjoying the ride and for whatever reason, get more respect from drivers. ICE makes a great product. My 06 ICE T(old Adventure}has more than 26k miles and has seen many trouble free tour miles. Recumbents are just another niche in cycling and is not for everyone. Most people who give recumbents a chance don't go back. Trikes have become a big thing in the recumbent world and I am one of it's greatest fans.
