USA visa problems
« on: October 31, 2014, 03:07:05 pm »
Hi there, I am in the middle of filling out my visa for my 5 month trip across America. Can anyone tell me what they put on the form when it asks the address I will be staying at?. I will obviously be cycling and will not have an 'address' which I will be staying at. The form does'nt have space for me to explain this on. I have relatives out there which I could put as my address? Or should I book a hotel for the first night and put that down? Any help would be Greatly appreciated.

Tom

I don't know, but this sounds like the kind of thing a phone call to the nearest U.S embassy or consulate could clear up.

Normally you put the address of your first night. Even campgrounds have addresses.

I put down the address of a random hotel close to the airport I was flying in to, visa was granted, no questions asked

Perhaps your relatives' address would be best. That way there would be someone to respond who knows you should  the immigration people need to contact you. They would have a permanent address.
