How this forum works

Do you have to go through a verification process with every post?  I'd like to participate but I have never seen a forum that requires verification once you sign up. 

If this is a permanent feature of this forum, this will dissuade me from participating.

I have not seen that behavior here.  I open the site, it remembers me, and I am logged in.  I don't recall having to change any settings to achieve that behavior.

On many sites, when you log in there will be a little box that says "Remember me on this site" that you can click on to check.  From then on, when you open the site you should be already logged in if you are on the same computer.  Your computer has to allow "cookies" to use this feature.

Actually the site did force me to verify (via letters and numbers) the first few times I posted here (and I was properly logged in).  It was weird but that has fortunately stopped.  So we can kill this thread, .

Sorry, I should have answered sooner. The captcha is just required on your first couple of posts. We do everything we can to keep the content on the forums related to bicycle travel and this is one the many measure in place to keep the endless stream of spam away from the site.

You should now have enough posts that you should not be getting the verification. Are you still getting it now? It might be an issue with Tapatalk if you are still having problems.
