Pacific Coast Section 5 map 58 road closure 12/21/2014

SR 1 is closed 0.7 mi. N. of the Los Angeles/Ventura County line due to a mud slide.  Here is a detour going north to south beginning at the intersection of E. Hueneme Rd. and Navalair Rd. (on map 57). Northbound riders should reverse these directions. This detour has some steep narrow sections on S. Westlake Blvd./SR 23. We haven't found out how long the closure will be so call the local sheriff's dept. when approaching this area.

0.1 → Right Turn onto Potrero Rd.

6.0 ↑ Straight Continue onto Lynn Rd.

0.8 → Right Turn onto S. Reino Rd.

0.2 ← Left Turn onto Potrero Rd.

5.2 ← Left Slight onto W. Potrero Rd.

0.8 ← Left Slight onto E. Potrero Rd.

1.5 → Right Turn onto S. Westlake Blvd./SR 23.

10.0 ← Left Turn onto SR 1 S.

We received an update on this closure as follows.

It looks like SR-1 will reopen on 2/2/15.

To check the status, open the website below - "Zoom" in to Los Angles/Pt Mugu and then turn on "lane closures".  You will see two orange cones on the highway. Click on one of the cones and it will update you on the highway's reopening.

I went through there a week ago, the road is still closed to automobile traffic but they let me ride through.
