Hi slinjersey,

Thank you for your comment. I will go to Summit using ACA's map, so I think it's OK.

I see the Google map, and GWB is used by BYP 1 and 9, which seems busy traffic. Are there shoulders or sidewalk for ped/bike on the GWB?

Sorry. Just saw this. The route we use to get to Hoboken is not suitable for weekday riding because it crosses a major on/off ramp of the NJ Turnpike and goes straight through the heart of the Port of Elizabeth & Newark. The truck traffic is dangerous. I don't even like to drive through the port when I go up there for work. If you do somehow make it to Hoboken on a weekday you can catch a ferry from the back of the NJT train station. No need to go north to 14th St.

Hi indyfabz,

Thank you for your reply. I just downloaded the GPX of the link you posted...

I will leave Summit and head to NYC downtown tomorrow, and I understand the route you posted must be dangerous. So I want to use a ferry from the back of the NJT train station.

I have 2 questions.

- Could you let me know the exact name of "the NJT train station" you mentioned?
- Do you think your posted route to "the NJT train station" is safe for the weekday ride? If yes, I will follow your recommended route from Summit to that station tomorrow.

Regards,
Shin
