Sage Creek Rd. will be closed for construction from April 20 - Nov. 30, 2105. The closure is 31 miles in length. Currently the road is in reconstruction, with road closures scheduled. Closures of up to four hours will be allowed during daytime hours. Traffic will be allowed through the project from 7 am to 8 am, 12 noon to 1 pm, and 5 pm to 6 pm daily. There are no closures scheduled between 6 pm and 7 am. During times of closure all vehicles will not be allowed though, including bicyclists. Last year it was noted that cyclists were camping on the roadway alignment and awoke in the morning amidst construction activities. Closures of the road is necessary to prevent the intermixing of the traveling public and construction traffic, thus providing the maximum possible safety of the public.

The road will be open on Sundays and the following holidays this year. Memorial Day Weekend: Noon Friday to 6:00 am Tuesday; Independence Day: Noon July 3 to 6:00 am July 5; Labor Day Weekend: Noon Friday to 6:00 am Tuesday. During these times, public traffic can transverse the roadway unimpeded.
