At the south end of the Riverfront Trail in St. Louis, the route is closed while they are working on extending the bike path and elevating it help with flooding. There should be detour signs, but here is a detour description:
WB: At turn H on Map 14, after riding onto Lewis St., ride 0.1 mi. then turn right onto Biddle St. In 0.2 mi., ride under I-44, then turn left onto Broadway. In 1.5 mi., turn right to rejoin route on at Broadway and Chouteau Ave. on Section 2, Map 15.
EB: On Section 2 Map 15, at mile 19.8(32km), turn left onto 4th St. In 1.5 mi., ride under I-44, then turn right onto Biddle St. In 0.2 mi., turn left onto Lewis St. and rejoin route on Section 1 Map 14.
To get to the Arch, turn east on Chestnut St. (at the Old Courthouse) from either Broadway or 4th St. While construction is going on, if you want to go to the top of the arch, tickets must be bought online or at the Old Courthouse.
During rush hour or events, Broadway and 4th St. can be busy. If you are uncomfortable riding those roads, here is another alternate that takes you further away from the Arch.

EB: On Section 2 Map 15, at mile 19.2(31km), turn left onto 14th St. In 1.2 mi., turn right onto Cole St. In 0.6 mi., ride under I-44, then turn right onto 3rd St. In 0.1 mi., turn right onto Biddle St. In 0.2 mi., turn left onto Lewis St. and rejoin route on Section 1 Map 14.
