Vancouver to Mexico for Cancer August 14th
« on: June 08, 2016, 02:16:34 pm »
Hey everyone. I'm new to the forums. I started out probably like most of you, wanting to do an amazing ride and see some of this beautiful country from the seat of my bike. I finally decided to take the plunge this August. August 14th to be exact! Facebook reminded me that my uncle passed away from his bout with cancer 1 year ago. This happened about a month ago. I decided I wanted to try and make the ride something bigger. We all know what cancer is. We all know the dangers, and that many, many things can cause it. Some of us are genetically prone to a higher chance at getting it. Raising awareness is great, but money is what the people really need.

I am raising money for Cancerresearch.org. The Cancer Research Institute. I don't know any of you, and don't know if this is the most appropriate place. But I invite any who will be on the road at that time to shoot an email. If you happen to have a couple extra bucks, I have a donation site set up on their website so all donations go directly to them.

and you can find my page by entering chris for first name and hersh for last name.

If your on the road and would like to join or form a team and try to combine our efforts, that is absolutely more than welcome. I've never done this kind of thing, but I see too many people passing early from cancer. I know that the brilliant people we have will not only find a cure, but be able to prevent it. They just need the time and resources.

Have a great day everyone, thanks for taking the time to read!
