Vehicle rentals that can haul 4-5 bikes?

Any idea's for me?  I can't figure out with a rental minivan or pickup or some other rental vehicle how we can carry 4 or 5 bikes and gear.

The pickup's we've rented in the Co and Ut do not have hitches installed. We can get the bikes in the back but space for safe storage of gear while we are biking is an issue.

Minivans i can only do two or maybe three bikes with a rack on the tail gate. Many rentals do not have roof racks.

Hoping someone has some experience with solving this problem. Some times and places ACA tours aren't the solution, wish they would do custom trips (asking about that now).

There was a thread about this same topic not too long ago in this forum.  Do some kind of search with some relevant words to find it.  Or just go back and read all the thread titles until you find some that might be what you are looking for.

Assuming you don't need to transport all those people and their bikes and gear, how about a cargo van? Enterprise, for example, has them. Or a vehicle with a hitch and a U-Haul trailer.
