What GPS software do you use?

I'm interested in seeing what everyone uses to map their routes.

I've used RideWithGPS.com and Garmin's Base Camp.  Just wondering what else you've used and how you like it.  Compared to the two I've just mentioned, perhaps?

What do you look for in a program, either free or pay?  What have you found that you don't like about those programs you've used in the past?

Just trying to gather first hand experiences from those in the know.

I find Ride with GPS the easiest, most intuitive, & most popular. The user interface is very clean. I also like the various map layers for charting routes.

I occasionally refer to Strava heat map. It shows most used routes in an area.

I use Garmin Connect which gives me the ability to transfer maps wirelessly onto the Edge 1000.

For online map creation, I prefer MapMyRide.com over RideWithGPS.com -- you get more free editing features and I find the interface a bit more flexible. If you pay for the full editing suite, RideWithGPS is probably the most functional though, IMO.

As for PC software, I am still a big fan of the old Garmin MapSource software (I never did warm up to BaseCamp, which I found quirky and less intuitive to use). There used to be a mechanism to download MapSource for free, but I can't seem to find the details (a google search will probably turn it up). For paid software, TopoFusion is also one of my favourites.
