A culvert is being replaced on the Cottonwood Lakes road, at approximately mile 12 after leaving Seeley Lake. The entire road has been dug up. A forestry worker we spoke to said the posted detour was right out to Highway 83.
The construction crew were kind enough to let us take a look at the hole, which we decided to climb through with our panniers and then bikes. It was rocky and muddy but doable with two people. It should be completed in about two weeks.
