Ty,  thanks so much for the update - sounds like a nasty one but glad to hear you are at least looking towards riding again this summer.
For us (fingers crossed) the Southern Tier has so far been pretty much perfect - I can only remember 2 or 3 drivers that I would criticise in over 2000 miles from San Diego.   I'm from the UK and am totally enjoying USA cycling, and general hospitality.
Ian

Thanks Ian! One of my close friends is from Abberley, Worcestershire. She goes to school in New Mexico. Glad your trip is going well.

I am doing a portion of the southern tier and a portion of the Atlantic coast. Starting at Navasota to Jacksonville Florida; then North to Baltimore, Maryland to raise money for cancer research. MD Anderson cancer center to Johns Hopkins cancer center in Baltimore. I will be starting at about noon on Thursday 4/13/17. My website is 2wheelsagainstcancer.com

Good luck. My ride last year was for cancer. Will check out your website. You can find mine on my Instagram at Portland_2_Portland or it may be in my profile on here. Not sure.

I am signed up for the ACA Self Contained tour departing San Diego September 10.  Bought a new 2017 Trek 520 - haven't even had it out yet!  Looking forward to this trip - my first tour.

Just finished the ST last week, on an ACA tour.  What a fantastic adventure.  Below is the link to my blog of this epic journey.  As this was my first bike tour ever, I was so moved that I will be doing other routes about every two years, giving the alternate years to my love to vacation as she sees fit!  2018 will see an RV caravan adventure to Alaska!
