Anyone using the Schwalbe marathon Mondial DD Tires for Bike Touring???

I plan on using them for Bicycle Touring in Southern California and on the Southern Tier Route in the USA

My wife and I have toured on this tire on single bikes for over 10,000 miles with no flats or problems. They're a bit heavy but give lots of confidence when the pavement disappears. If you are staying exclusively on the road, I'd recommend the Supreme or a similar tire.

Right now I am using Continental Touring Plus Tires 26x1.75 on my Surly LHT 26in
and I paid $31.99x3 for the Schwalbe Mondial DD Tires 26X2.0 from Wiggle.com last year...

I recently switched over to Schwalbe Marathon Mondial DD 700X40 on my Long Haul Trucker... They have proven to be comfortable and surefooted when I've ventured on to rustic trails and bad roads alike. So far I like them very much and will definitely be leaving them on for an upcoming road/canalway tour. Having suffered through tire, tube, and pump problems at various times in my 7K+ miles of touring I'll take a bit heavier and more reliable tire any time... That said, for strictly road riding I'll probably stick with my 700x35 Marathon Plus tires but for on/off road the Mondial seem like a better choice.
