TA Maps

Wanting to buy a set of the TransAmerica Trail maps for use summer 2018. Would like to get them now to study and for general motivation purposes, but really doesn't make sense to do so if there are due to be updated between now and spring next year. Does anyone know if there are planned updates to the maps between now and April/May 2018? Thanks.

There are a few sections slated for update in the coming months. It is unknown exactly when they will be available for sale. I'd hold off until March or so to purchase your maps.

Figaro I live near Lexington and frequently ride the Legacy Trail. I have the two maps that contain the Kentucky section. I purchased them last year. I would be glad to meet up with you and let you look over the maps. I'm hoping to ride the TA someday; maybe doing it in sections.

Thanks. I actually have the first two sections...plan to do some riding on some of the KY section before my trip next year. I'm riding on the Legacy trail 3-5 days a week now. Plan to rid it tomorrow in the morning and afternoon to get in around 50 miles. If you want to meet up and ride some just let me know.

By the way, for anyone else looking for map update info, here is what I received from ACA about the update plans.

Figaro, sorry for the late reply. I would like to ride with you. Its late now so morning maybe out of the question but maybe I could join you for your afternoon ride. I just need a time when you would be at the northside Y.

I'll be there at 3 pm today. Normally start a little later, but wife has plans for this evening. I'm wearing a white helmet, on a black Trek 520 road bike, blue shoes. If you see this before then, let me know if you want to meet up.
