Does anyone know if and when if ACA with will be adding the Garmin 1030 to their GPS Devices list? I tried to download GPX map and received an error message. Planning trip in the near future.

The Garmin 1030 should work with our digital data packages. Can you let us know the error you received and in what step of the process?

I attach Garmin 1030 to computer. .
Open the Garmin Express.
Select the download cloud
Select browser,
Select files and they show up in the box.
Select "Import Data" and I get this message: "An error occurred with your upload. Please try again.

Have you unzipped the .GPX before attempting to upload them to your device? We have instructions for the Garmin Edge 1000 on our site. In the instructions, we copy the .GPX files directly to the device from the computer without using Garmin Express. Have you tried following these instructions?

https://www.adventurecycling.org/routes-and-maps/adventure-cycling-route-network/digital-data-for-devices/route-tracks-and-service-points/gps-devices/garmin-edge-1000/

Let me know if these instructions help.

Thanks for your reply..Yes I did unzip the files. These files were then placed in file folder in my directory. When I uploaded the files I only picked the gpx files from that directory. I have only tried to upload to the Express. Not directly to the Garmin. I will review the link again you gave me and see if that helps.

Best Regards

Thanks for letting me know that you were able to get the files on your Garmin 1030. I've not tried using Garmin Express to upload files to a device yet. It may be that Garmin Express will only accept their proprietary file types, .tcx and .fit.
