Crescent City-San Francisco. April
« on: February 13, 2018, 11:21:55 pm »
Hey there.  I did a little searching and did't really find the answers  I was looking for.  A friend and I are riding from Crescent City to San Francisco starting in the middle of april.  We'll spend about 9 days on the road.  Now, all i've seen are people saying its too early but no one seems to mention any first hand experience. So, I did a bit of research on the past weather during that period of time and it seems like it should be in the mid 50's getting warmer as we move south.  We expect to hit some rain but according to the past weather patterns, its not even close to being one of the rainiest months of the year.

So, I guess I am asking if anyone has any actual experience riding in this area at that time of year.  and if so, any tips?

While I don't have experience riding there at that time year, you can ask the question over on CrazyGuyonaBike.com and/or review the journals if you have not done so already.  Hope this helps, John

Given that it 'appears' to be a drought year, it seems that you're likely to be fine. As you noted you're prepared for rain so that will work. Could be a mix of either either rain, fog, or glorious sunshine. You ought to be in for a good ride. Enjoy.
