Cycling Event Master List? Or List Of Events By State?
« on: February 20, 2018, 12:39:36 am »
Hey All -

I hope someone here can help me out.

My wife and I are looking to do a cycling event sometime late this year/early next year. We're looking for something that's not too difficult - single day, or not more than 3 days total. I was wondering if there's a master list of cycling events someplace, or a list by state? I've had no luck searching the interwebs and popped over here hoping that something like what I'm looking for exists ... any ideas?

I appreciate you reading.
Regards, turtlex

A comprehensive national list might be harder to come by. But many states have good state-wide lists. What state or states are you interested in? Since you said late this year or early next year, I assume you're interested in a southern state. Even if it's warm enough, however, events in the winter months are hindered by very short days. That's one reason why most events are in the summer.

Thanks for the reply - Yes, I'm in Texas and a tour here in the summer would mean super hot days and there's no way we're up to anything like that. We were thinking something in the fall would be best, if we stay in the south - that would likely mean less bugs and less sun !!

We've been talking about just getting out and doing something - even if we have to plan it ourselves - I'm just at kind of a loss as to where to start, so we thought checking for existing events would be the way to go.

We're not opposed to driving to get to an event ( we love to car road trip! ), though, so most any state is an option for us!

A Google search of "texas cycling events" turned up a lot of calendars and a ton of events.
