Great Divide Route question
« on: November 30, 2019, 01:09:02 pm »
Curious how to get to the start and then back to the start if doing the whole route?
Just watched a video about someone riding it and it got me thinking.

Cardboard bike box, fly into Calgary and take a shuttle to Banff with bike still in box. Assemble and ride south.

South is harder. Guy named Jeffrey Sharp lives near the end and provides shuttles back north. Also some sort of shuttle out of Phoenix that shuttles Latinos to/from the border. No idea of how to contact second option. Find J Sharp via Tour Divide Facebook groups

If you're in need of a shuttle to complete your Great Divide trip, download our Great Divide Shuttle Options (pdf) for suggestions.

Not clear why you'd want to return to the start.
Train into Banff.
Amtrak gets you a reasonable riding distance from Antelope Wells - though you can find some shuttle options on the internet, as noted.
