Palm Beach Hazzard
« on: March 08, 2018, 08:36:06 pm »
If your traveling the east coast on A1A when you get into Palm Beach, A1A was closed off to anybody that does not live or have business there.  It is blocked by Sheriff's deputies,  Army types and guys dressed in black.  They let anybody passed Mar-a- Lago Club.  A1A is also block off coming from the south.  Stay out of Palm Beach and use the S. Flagler Dr. until getting to the Southern Blvd bridge and then you can reconnect to A1A south.  Of course that is subject to change depending on when the president is in town. 8)

FYI: If you are following the Atlantic Coast Bicycle Route Section 7, you will not be impacted by this situation. Mar-a-Lago is located approximately where the lettered dot G is on Map 84. We have been told the closed area is immediately in front of the club restricting access from there to Southern Blvd. to the south. The route is just a but farther south of that.
