Saddle Recommends

I'd like your recommendations on a new saddle. I ride a 52cm Kona Rove AL on city streets and paved trail several times a week, with an annual 2 week tour.

YMMV.  Every butt is different.

About 2/3 of the people who try a Brooks saddle love them.  The other 1/3 hates them with an equal but opposite passion.  My B-17's are the best thing I ever bought to go on my bikes.

All saddles fit somebody perfectly. Which one fits you perfectly? Only your butt knows. Try to find a shop that will let you try before you buy.

Thanks John. That is part of my plan, just casting a wide net. I respect ACA riders. Bike shops know a lot, but typically there aren't many that understand long distance riders

I have Brooks saddles on six bikes.  Love them.  The sort of skinny titanium Swift model.  And the harder than concrete Team Pro.  And the B17 and the not as hard as concrete Pro model.  All are good.  But I am comfortable on the saddles on the other three bikes too.  One of those is a carbon railed Fizik Arione model.  I've probably done centuries or MUCH longer on most of my saddles.  They all work fine for me.

I have several Brooks Conquests, which are a sprung older model, and a B17, so like most tourers I'm a Brooks fan.

But I also have several Selle Anatomica Titanico X's which have about equal standing in the fleet.  These are light, there is no break-in, and they are a softer ride overall.  I've not toured with them yet but I have ridden a 300k so they are comfortable enough.  Downsides are they are rumored to not have the life of Brooks and need to be coddled against rain a bit more.  If you're not in a hurry they seem to usually have a sale around Christmas each year.
