Sierra Cascades section 4, map 55 - Sequoia NP road construction - April 2018

Road construction is occurring along the Generals Highway between the Giant Forest Museum and the Amphitheater Point Overlook in Sequoia National Park. There will be traffic delays with only one lane open. The Park says bicyclists are permitted through the construction zone but it is not advised due to broken or missing pavement, narrow lanes and no shoulders. If you are planning to bicycle through the construction zone, take additional consideration for delays associated with road construction. Bicyclists are subject to the same traffic-delay schedule as motorized vehicles. The project will be completed before winter of 2018/2019.
