Which direction for Idaho Hot Springs loop?

We are planning to start the Idaho Hot Springs loop the last week of June and still have not decided which direction to ride the loop.  From googling trip reports and articles, it seems that people go either way, but I'm wondering if there is a general consensus.

Of course the ACA map gives section route info going either way - but the profile is shown counter clockwise and the numbered hot springs are numbered in a counter clockwise direction.   The map does not directly way whether one direction is better than the other.
